Core Conference: De Duif
On the Prinsengracht, opposite the idyllic Amstelveld, lies a hidden gem: De Duif (The Dove), the primary venue for the CTBUH 2025 Europe Conference in Amsterdam. Amidst the stately homes, the modest exterior houses a surprisingly grand interior. Once inside, attendees are transported by the beautiful entourage of this impressive event location.
The foundation stone for the current Dove, designed by Leiden architect Th. Molkenboer, was laid in April 1857. After an intensive restoration, De Duif reopened in 2002 to house events with hundreds of visitors, contributing to the maintenance of this monument and to the preservation of the city.
Getting here: Attendees are responsible for their own transportation to/from the conference venue. The recommended hotel, Melia – INNSiDE, is approximately 12-15 minutes by taxi or 20 minutes by public transit.
